Leading the way this year as Captain is Halle Pearce. A name synonymous with the Hillwood Football Club. Halle brings a wealth of experience, leadership and footy knowledge to our women’s group. And is the perfect player to lead us in our Centenary Year.

Halle will be accompanied by the leadership group consisting of Sian Beeton, Jorja Barron, Siofra Clarke, Janaha Beeton and Savannah Cox.

Who are all experienced players that know what drive the standards and leadership within the group.

Congratulations to Harison Edwards, who is set to celebrate his 50th game this Saturday when the Sharks take on Bridgenorth at Shark Park (11th April, 2:00pm).

After making his debut in the reserves in 2023, Harison has quickly developed into a key defender in the senior side, with 35 of his 49 games played at senior level.

Originally starting his career at Hillwood in the forward line, Harison has contributed 5 goals in the seniors and 13 in the reserves so far.

Make sure to get down to Shark Park this Saturday to support Harison as he reaches this fantastic milestone.

Hillwood are super excited to announce the signings of the following men’s players for our 💯 year!

🦈 Jobi Ellis 🦈
Joining us from Georgetown, Jobi is an NTFA Under 18s representative and a former Under 18s Best & Fairest winner. With strong family ties to the club, his father Scott played over 250 senior games. A strong bodied hard runner its fantastic to have at Hillwood.

🦈Caleb McHenry🦈
A North Junior product, Caleb represented the NTJFA at Under 16 level before playing with Georgetown in 2025. We’re excited to see what he can add to our midfield group with increased opportunity this season.

🦈 Lincoln Gissell🦈
Lincoln last played in the Beauty Point Mini League and returns to football after a break. An athletic young player with plenty of potential, we’re looking forward to seeing him back out on the park in Sharks colours.

🦈 Jordan O’Brien🦈
Previously with Kingborough, Jordy joins us while studying in Launceston. Despite some time away from the game, he’s already impressed with his skills and footy IQ. We’re looking forward to seeing what he can produce on the field this season.

🦈Cam Heald🦈
A close mate of Jobi’s and also from Georgetown, Cam has put together a massive pre-season. We’re excited to see the run and dash he can bring to our backline with more opportunities at senior level.

Last week, some of our Senior women, along with Jayne, made the trip to visit Darryl (Griffo), who is still recovering from his accident.

The girls couldn’t wait to wrap him in their arms and show their love and support.

Griffo, your incredible strength and courage throughout this difficult time has inspired us all and the Hillwood Football Club is with you every step of the way.

While we sadly won’t have you back to coach our girls this year, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the time, effort, and dedication you’ve given to the women’s team. We know coaching is something you hold close and for now, the girls will play every game with pride, inspired by you.

It was so good to see you griffo and we wish you all the best in recovery, absolutely smashing it already 💙💙

COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT

We’re pleased to announce the appointment of Keith Donnelly as our Women’s Coach for the 2026 season.

Keith steps into the role after previously appointed coach Daryl “Griffo” Griffiths was unfortunately unable to continue following his accident earlier this year.

A true clubman, Keith holds the record for the most senior games ever played for the club and is also a Life Member, bringing a wealth of knowledge, experience and passion for Hillwood.

We’re very grateful Keith has stepped into the role and look forward to seeing him lead our women’s program in 2026. 💙🏉

We send Griffo our best wishes and positive thoughts as he continues recovering from his injuries, and hope to see him back around the club in 2027. 💙
