Milestone Game! 🚨

This week against Bracknell Anthony Wagg, will play his 100th game for Hillwood.

Debuting in 2005 Waggs was the 2008 Under 19s Best and Fairest.

After a 15 year spell 🤯 Waggs came back last year to input knowledge and wisdom on the younger guys in our reserves. And has been rock solid in defence.

Congratulations Waggs on the milestone!

Bailee Higgs- Bannister will be playing his 50th game against Bracknell this weekend.

Bailee debuted in 2024 and has racked up the games quickly. Baz was also part of our 2025 Senior grand final team last year.

Bailey is known to be super quick around the ball and always threatening the goals.

Congratulations Bailee on reaching this milestone for the Hillwood Football Club.

Congratulations to our women who fought really hard and earnt a great win against a formidable team.

Our reserves will reset and focus towards their last game of the year against Bracknell this weekend.

A couple of weeks ago, we came together to celebrate 100 incredible years of the Hillwood Football Club - a century of football, friendships, memories, milestones and countless people who have helped make our club what it is today.

As part of the celebrations, we were incredibly proud to announce our Team of the Century — recognising some of the greatest players to ever pull on the Hillwood jumper.

These teams represent generations of talent, dedication, loyalty and pride. Players who gave everything for their teammates, their club and the jumper they wore, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to be remembered for years to come.

From the players who created unforgettable moments on the field, to the coaches, volunteers, families and supporters who stood beside them. Every person has played a part in the story of Hillwood Football Club.

It was a special night to look back on where we have come from, celebrate the people who have shaped our past, and look forward to the next 100 years.

This weekend saw our Senior men’s side retain the Green/ Crane Shield with a win over Georgetown. With @nash_digney winning Hillwood’s best on ground with 6 goals in trying conditions.

The reserves had a come behind win that came down to last kick of the game thanks to the accurate kicking from @tristancollins_ (vision attached) it produced their best win of the season. 🐐

Unfortunately for our women, they fell just short in tough game however they will reset for round 16.

We now have two weeks off the pitch, with our Centenary Gala on the Saturday 25th July.

And we have a special past players training/dinner on Friday the 24th of July, which more information will be released soon.

As a club we are aiming to raise awareness, encourage meaningful conversations and to check in on their mates💙

Amazingly @alistair_taylor17 has been able to raise almost $3000 in the month of June for @staychatty and has given the locks a chop as well. ✂️

Well done AT, with this awesome effort!

Also $2 from every ticket entry at the gate will go towards wellbeing and support programs for our players and volunteers.

Over the last two weekends we would like to Congratulate the Bannisters, Father-Sam, Son-Bailee and Daughter-Shayla playing in all 3 grades for the Hillwood Football Club which has never happened at Hillwood before.

The legacy that this family is creating at Hillwood is very important for our footy club and we are very proud and thankful to them and to hopeful that all 3 Bannisters continue running out in the sharks colours in the years to come. 🦈💜🦈💙🦈

Over the last two weekends we would like to Congratulate the Bannisters, Father-Sam, Son-Bailee and Daughter-Shayla playing in all 3 grades for the Hillwood Football Club which has never happened at Hillwood before.

The legacy that this family is creating at Hillwood is very important for our footy club and we are very proud and thankful to them and to hopeful that all 3 Bannisters continue running out in the sharks colours in the years to come. 🦈💜🦈💙🦈
