Gun midfielder Isaac Thompson has taken out the Hillwood Sharks 2023 Best & Fairest award in a brilliant home & away season where he polled in 13 of the 16 games.
Isaac made his club debut in 2017 and was named in the club's best players in the 2019 premiership team. Earlier this season he played in the NTFA’s representative team against the NWFL.
Isaac polled 78 votes in total edging out runner up ruckman Hamish Leedham (the 2022 B&F winner) who had another exceptional season with 64 votes. Third placed midfielder Jack Tuthill (60 votes) had an excellent first season at the club & along with fellow 2023 recruit Jacob Boyd (4th with 36 votes). Both Jack & Jacob have been instrumental in helping the team rise from missing the finals last year to finishing on top of the ladder at the end of the home and away season.
Others to poll well were coach Jake Pearce (former 3x B&F winner) with 33, back-men Zac Oldenhof & Tyson Miller, both with 29 votes & association leading goal kicker Archie Wilkinson 27 votes.
